10 - Walking Bare Foot,

15th August 2021

For some reason I asked all my Whats app Friends this question:-

"I have a Question for You today . Do You ever Walk on Bare Feet ?

If yes How often ?"

It is extremely good for you. It has to do with Body Currents and I have researched this for many years and blogged it too but the question came up today in a chat with another friend. Do You believe in Body Currents ?

and received the following answers:

  • Very rarely ... while I am homeπŸ™‚
  • Yes, walking bare feet on a concrete surface which is smooth is good for body
  • Not very often..chappals - flip flops, at home
  • All our temples in south have a pragaram (walkway running all round the temple on the outer periphery), which is paved with concrete slabs...our women & other visitors walk on that & circle the temple thrice....the hard uneven surface of the granite, which is great from reflexology principles, as our feet surface mapping is wired to every part of our body & the gentle pressure pressing on the individual parts of the feet massages that pressure point helping the different organs like liver, kidneys, lungs etc. That's why our ladies used to be healthy & live long, since they went to temple daily & walked couple of km..
  • Never
  • I try and do it  on my terrace walk....since corona, have been walking in the shape of 8 on the terrace....supposed to be created by siddhas....bare feet suppose to ground you energetically. I have been focused on energies in and around us.....I do believe in chakras and the energy body ( pranmaya kosher) which drives the physical body....I got a device called Biowell ....invented by a Russian scientist....this measures the energy leaks from our 10 fingers and comes with the energy of all organs in our body... https://gaiahealers.com/products/bio-well-2-0..am also trying...salt floatation tanks and Lucia lights ...all connected to balancing energies in our body
  • Hardly. I can’t walk without some form of footwear.I’m aware that it’s good to walk barefoot especially on grass but these days it’s so hard as you don’t know if it’ll be safe or not
  • For years at length. Only when I have  swellings  in my feet I wear chappals. For the past year I do not walk bare footed. We clean our house  a number of times and keep our balcony clean.  I rely on Nature. We live in the lap of Nature  bonding with birds and beasts and plants
  • At home, always.. at times in the terrace when I go to check on my plants.. while in temples.. if in a park or garden (rare) I normally like to feel the grass/ earth under my feet.
  • Yes. At least for an hour daily
  • Not for the past 25 plus years. Exception: in our carpeted bedroom. At hone, I wear slippers. Out, it is shoes or sandals.
  • I don't walk on bare feet. not practical in the modern world.True benefit of bare feet walking is on rough soil, not smooth home tiles
  • At home; during the day; convenient and to feel the surface with my feet.
  • I know walking bare feet is GOOD, but seldom done - in puja room or in bathroom while going in for a shower !
  • Only in Temple I walked in bare foot. People say that we need to walk barefoot  over grass, which is good for health. Recently we visited Kanchipuram to Darshan Aathivarathar. I had difficulty to walk in barefoot because of the road and sand. But it is not hygienic or even dangerous to walk barefoot
  • All day at home.
  • Only at home..which is 20 hrs a day on an average
  • I never walk on bare foot except inside temple, holy river sides, in condolence house, inside my or any house. I walk with chappls 95 percent of the time. I always wonder at people going to Sabarimalai temple and many holy places  barefoot. I heard walking bare foot has many health benefits, Ram.
  • Tried after reading about barefoot walking, in India we don't have proper walkways or place to do this. Got dirty and soles hurt with calluses.
  • Every day...for at-least two hours..in the Morning till I finish my Yoga Abhyas. I am told that it is good to 'earth' oneself.. I 'Earth myself, every morning☺️ in my roof garden
  • We have dogs. Walking barefoot is not a great idea. πŸ˜‚ I was prescribed long walks by the doctor a fortnight back. He dismissed all my querulous concerns about rain, bad roads, pandemic-prescribed closure of parks etc. So I set off enthusiastically. After three days, they sent the cops after me.  No, but seriously, after three days, I either have a stress fracture in my foot or a very strained tendon. As a result, my ability to walk is badly limited. It has been ten days now, with relief from crepe bandages and Tiger Balm. The good news is that the lockdown is being eased, so the local promenade area has been reopened. I can now take limited walks on level and safe ground.
  • I have walked bare feet from my birth till I went to IITD at the age of 17 years. I wore shoes only when I went to the school.
  • I don't. I have a condition called peripheral polyneuropathy, . My feet are numb, painful and I have pins n needles all the time. So I wear socks at home and when I go out to make the feet feel slightly better. No bare feet walking.
  • When I  can’t find my sandals :-)
  • No I use some form of footwear always except when having a shower.
  • At home and in the garden
  • I don’t but I feel I shud sometimes.Just indoors? Or shud this b done outside?
  • If the feet are normal, and if possible to walk without problem, should walk barefoot as much as possible. This is general guidance to absorb earth prana.
  • I am advised to wear proper foot wear while walking, because of pressure points in leg due to diabetes.
  • Bare feet at home .. not outside
  • As much as I can.  My high school mate who is a neurosurgeon tells me that many back ache problems go away if you walk bare feet.  He does his morning 3 mile walk in Coimbatore bare feet even now.
  • Never
  • does socks count? i wear socks.
  • frequently but indoors only. All organs nerves converge on foot so they act as accuptessure points ,walking barefoot stimulates them and make organs function well. This is what i know and working on a particular portion of foot can solve a disease
  • I think it’s healthy. We were made to! I just believe it’s good because of the physical benefits
  • at home, always.  Outside of home, may be 2% of times.  I don't know what the benefits are.
  • Never walk bare foot. Except when I go to someone's house who insists footwear be removed.
  • Only within the house. Outside the house,  always some footwear
  • Do you mean inside or outside? Yes I do...but less in winter when it is cold
  • Yes, but not often enough - try to do that more in the warmer weather on the lawn 😊
  • Hi uncle. No I don't walk barefoot.I like warm feet
  • Rarely . But heard it’s very good. My daughter is a firm believer in barefoot walking
  • Inside the house all the time. In my younger days in India in my village walked barefoot a lot. I walk barefoot in the sand at the  beach
Conclusion:
Interesting I can Conclude that Most people have some awareness but do not understand why walking barefoot is good for health
